The Templeton Twins Have an Idea

What it's about: Twins, Abigail and John Templeton, get captured by another set of twins, Dean D. Dean and Dan D. Dean, who say that their father stole Dean D. Dean's invention idea. Now it is up to Abigail and John to escape and rescue their father.

What did you think of it? I LOVED this book. I like how the narrator has side comments throughout the story and how he is constantly threatening to stop telling the story.

Who would like this book? Kids in 4th grade to 6th grade who like adventure, mystery, and humor.

Sophia's War

Author: Avi

Genre: Historical Fiction

What it's about: This book is about a girl named Sophia who lives in colonial times. She wants to do her part in the war and she chooses a very hard job. It is about how she goes through her journey to complete her mission.

What do you think of it? I liked the book. I thought in some parts it was a little to  descriptive, because Avi only described the gruesome parts.

Who would like this book? Kids in 4th grade to 6th grade or history lovers and young FBI agents.

Three Times Lucky

Author: Sheila Turner

Genre: Mystery

What it's about: Moses LeBeau was found in a hurricane 11 years ago. In her town there has recently been a murder, and she and her friend Dale are investigating it. But they're not the only detectives there. Detective Joe Starr and his partner are also out to catch the murderer.

What do you think of it?  I really enjoyed the book because of all the mystery and suspense. I would've never guessed the ending.
